Dr. Felicia Mebane created Next Up. for the Dr. Patricia Lynch Stith Student Success Center, which is part of the Office of Academic Engagement. Dr. Mebane is an academic support and communications guru with years of experience at notable universities up and down the east coast.

Maleik Watkins is a senior at Norfolk State University majoring in Political Science. With aspirations of one day becoming the White House Chief of Staff, Maleik also is minoring in Mass Communications. Here on campus, Mr. Watkins serves as the Lead Peer Leader of the Dr. Patricia Lynch Stith Student Success Center.

He believes in working hard to pour into the next generation and giving those who look to him a sense of confidence, knowledge, ambition and hope. Additionally, he serves as a Director & Producer within the film industry as he has a proven track record of producing, writing and directing short films, commercials, podcast, and also documentaries.

As a producer and host of the podcast, Tresstin White was a mass communications major at NSU. She worked in both the Admissions Department and as a student leader in the Student Success Center. She aspires to be a multimedia journalist, with a focus on television reporting.
